Keith Anthony George II, professionally known as 'Youngin’ an esteemed American Entertainment Executive recognized globally as an Industry Gatekeeper. With an extensive 15-year background in the entertainment realm, Youngin thrives as a music manager, Recording Academy Member, A&R, Executive Producer, Brand Ambassador, and DJ, and currently serves as Director of Regional Development for a start-up Tech App. Additionally, he is a co-owner and contributing writer at the media outlet. Known for his adeptness as an executive, Youngin excels in interlinking diverse industry circles, strategically placing artists and executives to successfully close pivotal deals.
Born in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire, England, Youngin was raised as a military brat which eventually assisted his success by exposing him to different cultures and sounds. Having started in Allen, TX just outside of Dallas. It was in San Antonio, Texas in 2006, that Youngin found his true passion in music. Equipped with a desire to be discovered, then named DJ Youngin Beatz found his niche as a mixtape DJ and began networking with artists, managers, and executives. The rest is History! From climbing the ranks amongst the nation’s hottest mixtape Dj’s, Youngin found himself working with the likes of Yung Berg (Hitmaka), Statik Selektah, Stack Bundles family, Swishahouse Records, Soso Def’s(Jermaine Dupri) DJ Delz, Dj Decko, King Crooked, and more. Youngin quickly made a name for himself while fostering relationships with some of the biggest names in the recording industry, which led to an invitation to New York. It was in the Big Apple that Youngin began an all-inclusive internship with a Def Jam executive, working directly with Sarah Alminawi who was part of Platinum recording artist Maino's management team MGMT Inc. During his tenure at MGMT Inc, Youngin contributed to the marketing campaign for Maino's acclaimed single "Hi Hater." This strategic promotional effort significantly contributed to the song's weeks-long presence on the Hot 200 chart. As part of the successful promotional campaign, it also played a pivotal role in elevating Maino's second single, "All The Above," featuring T-Pain, to reach #39 on the Hot 100 chart in 2009. Youngin's contributions to MGMT Inc's management team during the triumph of Maino's inaugural album led to his receipt of Gold and Platinum awards and multiple Billboard plaques in 2009.
In 2012, Youngin teamed up with a colleague to establish the Block Bleedaz, a production team comprising producers and songwriters. By 2017, his trajectory in the industry veered decisively toward the executive realm. He transitioned into talent management and promotions, notably working with a prominent local rock band in San Antonio, who were previously signed to a major label and were looking to start fresh independently. Youngin gained recognition as a gatekeeper for discovering emerging talent and fostering numerous partnerships. In 2018, he renewed collaborations and partnered with Glu Ent. to co-manage recording artists Chris King (an associate of Trippie Redd) and Ponce Deleioun.
Later in 2018, Youngin served as the A&R for Haus of Dopamine formerly Left Lane Music Group, a Los Angeles-based production company helmed by partners and producers Tony “Fonz” Walker,and Shawn “Source” Jarrett (a member of Hit Maka's Maka Sounds). Their credits include work with artists like Trina, Dinero Farrar, Trinidad James, and Jimmy Bolt.
By 2020, Youngin had taken on an ambassadorial role for up-and-coming sneaker-cleaning brand Snkr Glove. In 2021, he stepped into a strategic advisory role for an app, contributing significantly to fundraising efforts during the Series A round. Upon the app's launch, the team received the prestigious W3 Award for Best Mobile App & Sites Cultural.
Come June 2023, Youngin was proudly welcomed into the Recording Academy's class of 2023, earning membership into the Grammys.
Keith was guided by mentors like industry giant Lorenza "Big Lo" Lennon, with whom he started working in 2007 under Big Lo Entertainment. Big Lo managed artists like Atozzio, a talented songwriter known for collaborations with Chris Brown ("Sing Like Me"), Mario ("Kryptonite"), Keke Palmer ("Shut Up, Stop Lyin'"), Tamar Braxton ("Angels & Demons"), and more. Keith learned valuable lessons working with Big Lo, which helped him succeed in artist management and promotion. Immersed in the hip-hop scene, Keith developed a talent for spotting emerging artists.
