MAGOO THE BAND

Based out of Denver, CO, Magoo is a progressive bluegrass quartet that offers a fresh take on both traditional and modern aspects of the genre. Live performances take listeners on a journey through extended improvisational sections and original arrangements that highlight three part harmonies and footstomping-inducing grooves. Magoo pays homage to the legends that paved the road, while also forging their own path in a new era of Bluegrass music.

BEHIND THE ALBUM

Magoo the EP Vol. 2 marks the next chapter in the musical journey of bluegrass band Magoo. Co-executive produced by four-time Grammy-nominated producer Davion “D Bottz” Bottz and platinum music executive Keith “Youngin” George II, the album captures the band’s evolution and distinctive take on the bluegrass genre. Recorded at The Spot Studio in Evergreen, CO, with engineers and producers Glenn Sawyer and Rich Veltrop, the album features original compositions with on-the-spot arrangement improvements made during recording sessions. Glenn and Rich provided crucial direction, helping shape the final sound of the album, blending traditional bluegrass with modern elements to create a fresh, innovative sound.
